You can view and use MediaWiki without giving any other additional data and/or registering for a user account. Although, if you'd like to create or edit pages, you will be required to create an account. If you do register for a user account, your email, password, and IP address will be stored in the database for as long as you have an account.
You have options to hide or show your email address to other users, allow other users to contact you via a wiki mail system, and display your time zone and/or language preference.
Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. In case you delete your account, we store your entries based on our interest of a consistent wiki according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.
You can read user created posts without giving any other additional data and/or registering for a user account. Although, if you would like to create new topics, reply to topics, and/or use the built-in reaction system, you will be required to register for a user account.
You have options to hide or show your email address to other users, allow other users to contact you via a forum mail system, and display your time zone and/or language preference.
When you create a new topic or reply to a topic, information such as your username, date of registration, and country of origin (if added by you) will be displayed next to your submitted content.
Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. In case you delete your account, we store your entries based on our interest of a consistent forums according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR, but we anonymize the author of your entries.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we will process and store your personal data for as long as it is required for the respective purpose and delete it thereafter.
